Saturday games begin April 19th, and last games are the week ending May 22nd.
Practices/training will begin the week before.
Players must be born in 2021, or 2022 - turning 3 before season start (first 5U game on April 19, 2025), or earlier to play in Spring 2025. AYSO has partnered with Sports Connect to enhance the registration process. Regular Registration ends March 3, 2025. Please go to www.ayso574.org and do the following:

~If a member of the family other than the parent/guardian signing up the player(s) will be Volunteering as a Coach, Board Member or Referee, they will need to create their own account with their own email/login and password.
~When asked where do you want to register, choose “2025 Spring” (please note the VIP division is for players with disabilities that would prevent them from playing in a mainstream program, and may not be available this season)
~Answer all of the questions on the form.

Spring 2025 Season Costs (less processing fees):
Regular Registration is $60 (which DOES NOT include the uniform fee), plus the AYSO national membership fee of $25* (paid once per year which covers both the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 seasons – if you paid in Fall 2024, you will NOT be charged again this season), plus $25 for a Uniform (SEPARATE REGISTRATION beginning Spring 2025) - Jersey, Shorts and Socks. Returning Fall 2024 players do NOT need to order a uniform! U10,U12, U14, and U16/19 will be using the same uniform as the last several seasons, but can order a new uniform if needed, or if the player has not played AYSO recently, worn out, or the uniform no longer fits well. Regular Registration ends March 3, 2025. Late Registration (limited spots open only to fill/make even teams) ends April 11.
* Please note: the $25 AYSO National Membership fee is paid once per soccer/school year (ie, Fall 2024/Spring 2025 is one year) and is non-refundable. There is also a $2.75 processing fee per check-out that is non-refundable. *
** U8, U6 and U5 will again have individual team colors (as we did prior to Covid), continuing with the same teams from FALL 2024 Season. Please note that we have about 40% player turnover from Fall to Spring and all teams will lose some players, and get some new players.
*** U10, U12, U14 and U16/19 teams will use Reversible Blue/Light Gray uniforms that can be re-used from season to season moving forward (unless a uniform is lost or outgrown). For Spring 2025, ALL U10 and U12 teams WILL BE REBALANCED.
Equipment Requirements
- Shin guards MUST be worn under socks
- Soccer cleats
- Age-appropriate soccer ball (U5-U8 size 3; U10 & U12 size 4; U14+ size 5)
- NO Jewelry whatsoever, including earrings – they MUST be removed. Do not get a new piercing anytime close to the beginning of the season.
- NO hair beads, or hard barrettes
- NO watches, chains, friendship bracelets or similar
Spring 2025 tentative Season Layout:
** Pre-Season – Week of April 7th – 11th – U12, U14 and U16/19 Teams begin practice; U10 will have training session(s) – Saturday, April 12th and probably one other day offered, and team practices; a Keeper clinic is also being planned and available to all Keepers in U10 and U12 (and older if desired)
** Week 1 of the season – April 14th - 17th (M-Th - actual dates and times TBD) for U5, U6 and U8 will be focused on "train the trainer for coaches” combined with the mandatory coach’s meeting for all U8 and under coaches. Uniforms will (hopefully) be given to coaches at the training/meeting, and we are recommending that coaches of U8 and under meet with their teams/parents and distribute uniforms and have a team meeting AFTER the training/meeting.
** Week 1 of the season – April 14th - 17th (M-Th) for U10 and older – each division will have their first workouts with the Challenger Professional Trainer – this is in addition to any practices with coaches.
** Week 2 - 7 of the season – April 19 (Saturday) – May 22 (Thursday) will be regular season play (10 games). This will normally consist of 1 weekday game and 1 game on Saturday each week. Team practices are at the discretion of the coach (U10 and up usually have at least one practice with their coach per week. This is usually in ADDITION to the Challenger Trainer practice).
** Final weeknight games of the season (May 19-22) will be the FINAL regular season game for the younger age groups (ie, U5, U6 and U8); and final Tournament games for the U10 and U12 teams (and consolation games for teams eliminated from the respective Tournaments); and regular games for 14U and 16/19U teams, depending on what can be scheduled..
SPRING 2025 Game Schedule:
Mondays: U6 Boys and U10 Girls – Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00 and 7:00
Tuesdays: U8 Boys, (and U14, if two teams), and potentially U12 Coed - Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00 and 7:00
Wednesdays: U6 Girls and U10 Boys - Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00 and 7:00
Thursdays: U5 Boys, U5 Girls, U8 Girls; U12 Co-ed, U14 Coed - Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00 and 7:00
Saturdays: ALL Divisions, U5 thru U16/19U
TRAINING SESSIONS:
5U Girls and Boys, 6U Boys and 6U Girls – each will all have about 20-25 minutes of trainer prior to their games on Saturdays, beginning the 1st Saturday of the season (April 19).
8U Girls and 8U Boys – each team will most likely have 2-3 total sessions with the trainer on a Monday or a Wednesday night. NO training on Saturdays.
10U Girls and 10U Boys – each will have a trainer session about every other week (on Tuesdays or Thursdays), for a total of 3 sessions per team. 10U will have a Division wide training (1.5-2hr) prior to the start of the season to go over all of the changes from 8U to 10U (Goal Keeper, Build out line, off sides, how offensive and defensive players work with the Keeper, direct/indirect kicks, Referees and their calls, etc.)
12U Coed – each will have about 3 sessions total on Mondays or Wednesdays, probably beginning before the 1st games.
14U and 16/19U – Probably 2-3 sessions total, on Mondays or Wednesdays, probably beginning before the 1st games.
10U Girls and 10U Boys – U10 will have a Division wide training (1.5-2hr) prior to the start of the season to go over all of the changes from 8U to 10U (Goal Keeper, Build out line, off sides, how offensive and defensive players work with the Keeper, direct/indirect kicks, Referees and their calls, etc.) This training will most likely be offered on two different dates - TBD.
* U16/19 Co-ed weekday games depend on getting enough players for 2 teams
** U12 and U14 Saturday games will be a minimum of 50% Home games at Maiden Lane Soccer Complex. Away games will be at other AYSO fields in Southwest Michigan, or at SWM/Lakeshore on Rockey Weed.

FALL 2024 Season Costs (less processing fees):
Regular Registration is $85 (which for the FALL 2024 DOES include the uniform fee), plus an additional AYSO national membership fee of $25* (paid once per year which covers both the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 seasons). The ALREADY INCLUDED uniform fee is for a uniform purchased in Fall of 2024, that will also be used in Spring 2025. Regular Registration ends August 12th, 2024. Late Registration ends September 8th and includes a $20 Late Registration Fee.
ONLY U10, U12, U14 and U16/19 will be able to opt out of a uniform purchase.
U16/19 Registration - With only 6 Saturday Games, U16/19 Registration is $45 (which for the FALL 2024 DOES include the uniform fee), plus the AYSO national membership fee of $25* (paid once per year which covers both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 seasons). If the U16/19 player has a reversible Dark Blue/Light Gray AYSO Uniform from a previous season, a U16/19 player may opt out of a uniform purchase.

Fall 2024 tentative Season Layout

U12, U14 and U16/19 Teams begin practice;
** Week 1 of the season – September 16th - 19th (M-Th) will be focused on "train the trainer for coaches" - Divisions U5 through U8 (both Girls and Boys). We should hopefully be able to hand out uniforms to coaches at these practices.
** Week 2 - 7 of the season – September 21 (Saturday) – September 21 (Saturday) will be regular season play (11 games). This will normally consist of 1 weekday game and 1 game on Saturday each week. Team practices are at the discretion of the coach (usually U10 and up).
** Final Saturday of the season (October 26) will be the FINAL regular season game for the younger age groups (ie, U5 to U8), and 1st (or continuing) Tournament games for the U10 and U12 teams; and regular games for 14U and 16/19U teams.
** Final Weekday games (October 28rd-30th) are for U10 and up ONLY. If needed, U10 and U12 will finish their tournament. U14U and U16/19 may have games, depending on what can be scheduled.

Fall 2023 tentative Season Layout
** Pre-Season – Week of September 5th – 8th – U12, U14 and U16/19 Teams begin practice; U10 will have training session(s), and team practices; a Keeper clinic is being planned and available to all Keepers in U10 and U12
** Week 1 of the season – September 9th - 14th (M-Th) will be focused on "train the trainer for coaches" and "player training" for U8 and under.
** Week 2 - 7 of the season – September 16 (Saturday) – September 21 (Saturday) will be regular season play (11 games). This will normally consist of 1 weekday game and 1 game on Saturday each week. Team practices are at the discretion of the coach (usually U10 and up).
** Final Saturday of the season (October 21) will be the FINAL regular season game for the younger age groups (ie, U5 to U8), and 1st (or continuing) Tournament games for the U10 and U12 teams; and regular games for 14U and 16/19U teams.
** Final Weekday games (October 23rd-26th) are for U10 and up ONLY. If needed, U10 and U12 will finish their tournament. U14U and U16/19 may have games, depending on what can be scheduled.
For Fall 2023, if we have enough players for enough teams, we will split both U8 Boys and U8 Girls into a U7 and U8 teams in place of having both birth years in the same Division. This will NOT be co-ed, and will only occur if we have a minimum of 6 teams in each Division (ie, we might have U7 Boys and U8 Boys, but still have a combined U8 Girls).

Mondays: U6 Boys and U10 Girls – Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00
Tuesdays: U8 Boys - Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00
Wednesdays: U6 Girls and U10 Boys - Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00
Thursdays: U5 Boys, U5 Girls, U7 & U8 Girls; U12 Co-ed, U14 Coed - Game start times staggered at 5:45/6:00
Saturdays: ALL Divisions, U5 thru U16/19U
TRAINING SESSIONS
For Fall 2023, we will NOT be having training Sessions as we have had in prior seasons.
10U Girls and 10U Boys – U10 will have a Division wide training (1.5-2hr) prior to the start of the season to go over all of the changes from 8U to 10U (Goal Keeper, Build out line, off sides, how offensive and defensive players work with the Keeper, direct/indirect kicks, Referees and their calls, etc.) This training will most likely be offered on two different dates - TBD.
* U16/19 Co-ed weekday games depend on getting enough players for 2 teams
** U12 and U14 Saturday games will be a minimum of 50% Home games at Maiden Lane Soccer Complex. Away games will be at other AYSO fields in Southwest Michigan, or at SWM/Lakeshore on Rockey Weed.

SPRING 2023 AYSO 574 Youth Soccer Registration Information
Early Bird Registration October 17, 2022 - January 31, 2023
Regular Registration February 1, 2023 - March 5, 2023
Late Registration (at additional charge, NOT guaranteed and is wait list ONLY to fill teams) March 6 - March 31 (no guarantee that Late Registration Uniforms will be the correct size)
Saturday games begin April 15th, and end May 20th. Practices/training will begin the week before, and 10U and older may have a weekday game after May 20th.
Players must be born in 2019, or 2020 - turning 3 before season start (turn 3 by first 5U game on April 15, 2023), to play in SPRING 2023. AYSO has partnered with Sports Connect to enhance the registration process. Early Bird (discount) Registration ends January 31, 2023; Regular Registration ends March 5th. How to Register
~At the top right, choose the “LOGIN” link at if you already have an account, or choose “REGISTER NOW” if you have not yet created an account.
~If a member of the family other than the parent/guardian signing up the player(s) will be Volunteering as a Coach, Board Member or Referee, they will need to create their own account with their own email/login and password.
~When asked where do you want to register, choose “2023 Spring” (please note the VIP division is for players with disabilities that would prevent them from playing in a mainstream program, and may not be available this season)

Spring 2023 Season Costs (less processing fees):
Regular Registration is $60, plus the AYSO national membership fee of $20*(if it was not paid in Fall 2022), plus the uniform fee of $25**(no uniform fee if a uniform was purchased in Fall of 2022). Early registration discount ( -$20 from the Regular Registration fee = $40) thru January 31st, 2023. Regular Registration ends March 5th, 2023.
Example: A) A returning Fall 2022 player signing up during Early Bird registration will pay $40 plus the $2.75 cc processing fee.
B) A player who did not play Fall 2022 signing up during Early Bird registration will pay $40, plus $25 for uniform, plus $20 National Membership fee, plus $2.75 credit card processing fee, for a total of $87.75.
* Please note: the $20 AYSO National Membership fee is paid once per soccer year (ie, Fall 2022/Spring 2023 is one year) and is non-refundable. There is also a $2.75 processing fee per check-out that is non-refundable. *
** 10U and under will have individual team colors (as we did prior to Covid) starting the FALL 2022 Season and if you did NOT play Fall 2022, then YOU MUST ORDER A NEW UNIFORM !!! THIS Uniform is used for the Fall 2022 AND Spring 2023 seasons.

TRAINING SESSIONS
5U Girls and Boys, 6U Boys and 6U Girls – each will all have about 20-25 minutes of trainer prior to their game on Saturday, beginning the 1st Saturday of the season.
8U Girls and 8U Boys – each team will most likely have 2-3 total sessions with the trainer on a Monday or a Wednesday night.
10U Girls and 10U Boys – each will have a trainer session about every other week (on Tuesdays or Thursdays), for a total of 3 sessions per team. 10U will have a Division wide training (1.5-2hr) prior to the start of the season to go over all of the changes from 8U to 10U (Goal Keeper, Build out line, off sides, how offensive and defensive players work with the Keeper, direct/indirect kicks, Referees and their calls, etc.)
12U Coed – each will have about 3 sessions total on Mondays or Wednesdays, probably beginning before the 1st games.
